What could be getting in the way of enquiries?
A visitor may be unsure what you offer, whether you cover their area or how to get in touch. Small text on a phone, a confusing form or missing evidence of your work can make that decision harder.
Low traffic and low enquiry conversion are different problems. If few suitable customers reach your website, improving a button alone will not bring them there. This checklist helps you review the experience visitors have once they arrive. It does not measure traffic or prove why enquiries are low.
What the checklist helps you review
- Clear services and service areas
- Mobile usability
- Contact details and calls to action
- Genuine reviews and evidence of your work
- Website speed and reliability
- Useful local search content
- A straightforward enquiry process
Choose one answer for each question: Yes, Partly or No. Add your score manually out of 20, then record three priority improvements.
The score is a guide to your own observations, not a technical audit, an industry benchmark or a ranking guarantee. Review individual problems even if your overall score is high.
For example, the checklist asks: Can visitors quickly see where you work?
Its suggested quick fix is to mention your main towns and service area naturally.

Is this checklist right for your business?
It is designed for owners and managers of existing local service-business websites, including trades, cleaning, property services, beauty businesses and professional services.
You do not need technical knowledge. Open your website on your phone and consider it as a new customer would. If you do not yet have a website, our website services explain the available starting points.
