Your services change, your contact details need to stay correct, and the tools behind your forms need checking. Leave it alone for a year, and small problems can sit unnoticed while customers struggle to get in touch. Regular checks and carefully tested updates keep your website fast, secure and useful without a stack of plugins to manage.
Meanwhile, the small stuff drifts. A contact form stops sending, and nobody notices until a customer calls up asking why you never got back to them. A page gets deleted, and the link pointing to it sits there, dead. A certificate lapses and Chrome starts warning visitors that your site is not secure.
None of it is dramatic. All of it costs you enquiries, and every bit of it is avoidable. That is all website maintenance really is: someone checking the site every month so the small problems stay small.

Anything beyond the two changes is charged at £30 an hour, always agreed with you before we start. We would rather quote you for ten minutes’ work than surprise you with an invoice.

Larger sites and e-commerce shops need more looking after than a five-page trades website, so we quote those individually. If that’s you, ask and we will give you a fixed figure.
We build fast, lightweight websites without relying on WordPress themes or a stack of plugins. Our website maintenance is built around keeping your site secure, your content current and your customers able to get in touch.
Fewer moving parts means less to slow your site down and fewer things to go wrong. It also means your monthly care can focus on the things that matter to your business, rather than a list of plugin updates.
We check your pages, links and forms, make agreed changes and keep a safe backup. When an update is needed, we test the result before calling it done. You get a clear report of what we checked and what needs attention.
You don’t need to move your hosting to us, and we would rather you didn’t. We work on your site wherever it currently lives. If we need access, that is a login you give us and can take away whenever you like.

The Care Plan does not cover new pages, website redesigns, blog writing or graphic design. It does not include emergency out-of-hours support, and it does not cover your hosting fees or domain renewals.
Already broken? That is a repair job, not maintenance. Our Website Repair Service starts at £95 and fixes what is actually wrong, with a fixed price agreed in writing first. Plenty of clients start there and move on to the Care Plan once the site is working properly again.

Your domain name and your hosting account are bought in your name and stay under your control from day one. We never register them to ourselves.
That matters more than it sounds. The most common reason people come to us is that whoever built their site has gone quiet, and they cannot get at their own domain to do anything about it. We are not interested in holding your business hostage to a monthly fee.
If you leave, you take everything with you and the site keeps working.

We do website maintenance remotely, so where you are doesn’t affect how well it works. It does mean that when you would rather talk something through face-to-face, we are close enough to do it.

Across the UK, you will see website maintenance packages from around £20 a month up to £150 and beyond – the difference is almost always in what happens beyond the updates. A typical £20 plan will run your updates and nothing else. Ours includes monthly content changes, a written health check and someone who answers the phone.
For a small local business website, £40 to £80 a month is the sensible range for website maintenance. Below that, you are usually buying an automated update service with no human looking at the results. Above that, you are usually paying for SEO or marketing bundled in with the maintenance, which may be worth having but is a different thing entirely and should be priced separately.
Not necessarily. If you are comfortable checking your pages and forms monthly, keeping your content current and storing backups somewhere off your hosting, you can look after it yourself. Most business owners realise they should, and then don’t. If your website brings you enquiries, it is worth having someone accountable for keeping it working.

Yes, and it is most of what we do. You do not need to explain what happened to whoever built it. We will take a look first and let you know if it is in a fit state to be maintained or whether it needs work done before a maintenance plan makes any sense.
Changing a phone number, updating your prices, swapping a photo, amending your opening hours, correcting a spelling, rewriting a paragraph. Roughly: anything that takes us under half an hour and doesn’t need a new page. Adding a new service page, writing a blog post or redesigning a section is bigger than that, and we will quote you at £30 an hour before doing anything.
